Requested LinkedIn use
SAGE helps independent retailers draft and review marketing actions from their own dashboard. The LinkedIn integration is intended only for review-first LinkedIn Page workflows for Pages the shop owner owns, manages, or is authorized to manage.
- Prepare LinkedIn Page text post drafts from owner-approved product, event, or shop updates.
- Let the owner review the exact final post text and destination Page before publishing.
- Publish only after LinkedIn grants the required permissions and the owner confirms the final action.
- Record proof metadata so the dashboard can show the owner what was approved and sent.
Boundaries
SAGE is not a LinkedIn scraping, advertising, lead-generation, recruiting, or messaging tool.
- No LinkedIn scraping, prospecting, or lead-list building.
- No LinkedIn ads, boosted posts, job posts, or campaign management.
- No LinkedIn direct messages, comments, reactions, or member outreach automation.
- No automatic publishing. A shop owner must approve the final text and destination before any native LinkedIn post is sent.
- No access to unrelated LinkedIn profiles, Pages, organizations, messages, or analytics.
Data handled
When LinkedIn access is approved and a shop connects LinkedIn, SAGE stores only the data needed to operate the connected-shop workflow:
- OAuth token and granted scopes.
- Selected LinkedIn organization/Page identifier, Page name, and role/readiness proof.
- Reviewed post content and proof metadata for owner-visible audit history.
SAGE does not collect LinkedIn passwords, browser cookies, direct messages, advertising data, or unrelated account data.
Owner controls and deletion
- Owners can disconnect LinkedIn in the SAGE dashboard, from LinkedIn account settings where available, or by emailing hello@indieco.shop.
- After a disconnect request, SAGE removes stored LinkedIn tokens and LinkedIn connection metadata within 7 business days.
- Owners can export or delete their SAGE shop data through dashboard settings.
