Plain-English summary
SAGE helps a shop owner improve their own Google Business Profile. A shop owner connects Google through OAuth, reviews the suggested post, reply, photo, or profile update inside SAGE, and chooses whether to apply it. SAGE does not create fake listings, sell Google data, scrape profiles, or change a public Business Profile without the owner approving that specific action.
Google Business Profile is a Google service provided at no additional charge. SAGE may charge for the independent SAGE dashboard and marketing workflow, not for access to Google Business Profile itself.
SAGE Marketing is operated by SIMCO LLC. Platform reviewers can verify the operator relationship on the SAGE by SIMCO LLC identity page.
Authorized use
- Each merchant connects their own Google account through Google OAuth.
- SAGE only requests scopes needed for the connected shop workflow.
- The connected merchant must own, manage, or be authorized to manage the Business Profile.
- Public posts, profile edits, review replies, Q&A replies, and photo/media actions stay owner-approved.
- SAGE keeps Google Business Profile use separate from Gmail, Drive, and private Google account data.
What SAGE will not do
- No fake, online-only, or placeholder Business Profiles to satisfy API access.
- No use of GoogleLocation data for lead generation, prospecting, scraping, or market lists.
- No credential sharing, password collection, session-cookie collection, or screen scraping.
- No automated public edits or review replies without the merchant's prior specific consent.
- No claims that SAGE is sponsored, certified, or endorsed by Google.
Data handling
- OAuth tokens are stored server-side and used only for the approved SAGE workflow.
- Business Profile API content is stored only as needed to run the dashboard and improve performance.
- API-derived diagnostic snapshots are deleted or refreshed within 30 calendar days.
- Shop data is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for third-party AI model training.
- Each shop's data stays isolated from other shops.
Disconnect and notices
- Merchants can disconnect Google from the SAGE dashboard or by emailing hello@indieco.shop.
- After a disconnect request, SAGE removes its Business Profile management access within 7 business days.
- If SAGE makes account-level changes, the merchant gets a separate notice within 48 hours.
- Material privacy or data-use changes receive 30 days' notice by email and dashboard banner.
- SAGE can provide a live reviewer demo account within 7 days of a Google compliance request.
Reviewer demo flow
A reviewer can sign into a SAGE test shop, open the Integrations area, choose Google Business Profile, review the OAuth connection explanation, see a read-only profile readiness check, inspect owner-facing draft actions, and confirm that public writes remain disabled until provider approval and explicit owner approval are present.
